Radar Level Measurement Solution for Grain Silos
A grain storage system manufacturer in the United States required a reliable level measurement solution for multiple silo projects. The application involved steel grain silos used for storing bulk agricultural materials including corn, wheat and other grains. Mainly 0-100 feet measuring range.
The customer needed continuous level monitoring in challenging conditions including heavy dust, frequent filling operations, outdoor installation and long-term unattended operation.
After technical evaluation, the customer selected Pokcenser PWL-R803 80GHz radar level sensors and purchased 50 units for deployment across grain silo projects in the United States.

Pokcenser provided the PWL-R803 80GHz FMCW radar level sensor with universal flange connection and air purging function.
The PWL-R803 is developed for solid applications such as grain, powder and bulk materials. FMCW radar technology provides reliable measurement without contact with the stored material. 3° narrow beam angle to reduce interference. Dust environment explosion proof Ex dD A21 IP68 T80℃ that capable to be used in the silos. Universal flange installation, that makes antenna able to be slightly offset by 20-30° to align the radar beam as perpendicularly as possible to the pile, thereby achieving the best possible signal measurement. Bluetooth APP for wireless setup and diagnostic.
